Apply small amount with fingertips to freshly cleansed and toned face, neck and décolleté areas (avoid direct contact with eyes). Allow time to absorb prior to moisturizer application.

Where does this fit in the skincare routine?

Maritime Naturals Retinol Serum may be applied after cleansing. As with any serum, it is necessary to follow with a good moisturizer. This serum can be used both morning and night. 

How much retinol is in the product?

All of our retinol products contain the maximum amount of retinol permitted by Health Canada - 1%. Because retinol aids in cell turnover, it can cause irritation to sensitive skin. We suggest starting with a a small amount, two or three nights a week. This is so skin can build a 'tolerance' to the ingredient, becoming more accustomed to it over time. Retinol can then be used more often as time builds.
